Welcome to the Shock Society Blog

Those of you that check in on the Shock Society’s website from time to time might have noticed a link entitled ‘Shock Blog-Coming soon’. Well, it is no longer ‘coming soon’ but it is here!

This inaugural post marks the beginning of what we hope will be a useful informal forum for the society’s membership to share and discuss ideas related to the Shock Society mission. This could be anything from blogs about new reagents that have been useful in your research, new journal articles of interest in Shock or other journals, your take on a specific topic, science policy and the politics of science (if you want!), Tips and Tricks, or new things going on at the NIH or other funding agencies. In short – anything you as our members want to write about.

While this blog will be hosted on our Shock Society home page (https://shoso.memberclicks.net/), please bear in mind that blogs represent ideas and thoughts from individual contributors and are NOT (definitely not!) representative of any Shock Society policy or position. Blog posts will also be shared on the Shock Societies’ social media pages, where discussion is welcomed. Please note that comments deemed unsuitable/unprofessional may be removed.

While I will be reaching out to certain Shock Society members to invite them to contribute to the blog, if anyone is interested in writing a post (it doesn’t have to be long), or wants to recommend other potential contributors  - please reach out to me at [email protected].
